When I began my career as a screen printer eight years ago I had been out of textile school for a couple of years and my printing skills were rusty- to say the least. I had been designing textiles for a company in NYC but I longed to ‘get my hands dirty’ again. So I built my own studio, bought equipment and started printing. Boy, was that a huge mistake. I had no one to answer my questions, my practical experience from school was not overly applicable to running my own studio and in the end I spent way more than I needed to and it took a lot longer to get my business up and running- and profitable! So that’s why I wrote this book. It’s my way of offering the aspiring screen printer; whether you want to do it as a hobby or as a profession, all the answers to all the questions I had but couldn’t find the answers to. And I’m giving up all my cost cutting tips so you don’t have to spend the money I did but still get the same results. You should know that I have since left behind my large studio and I now run my full-time business out of my home. It’s not a lot of space and I don’t use special equipment (I put that in storage)  but I produce professional quality prints the same as when I had my full service studio.

“SCREEN PRINT:The Ultimate Guide” is a complete DIY book for screen printing. It has full colour tutorials, terms and defintions, tips ans tricks, troubleshooting guides and a ressource for materials. It covers a broad range of printing types and materials. It has something to offer everyone.

Here’s a quick look  at some of what’s inside the book.

Just found your website [thanks to Martha Stewart] and am eager to get the
Screen Printing Ultimate guide. So far I’ve learned a few things just by scanning the website for 5 minutes. I’m sure I will be back often
